How to use it
Paste a complete HTTP or HTTPS URL and select Process. The browser parses its structure locally; no request is made to the destination, and the result is not a safety verdict.
Privacy and limitations
Processing takes place in your browser. Avoid pasting sensitive data into a shared device. Results are not stored by this tool.
Example and fields
For https://example.com:8443/watch?id=7#details, the result lists protocol https:, hostname example.com, port 8443, path /watch, queryParameters as [["id","7"]], and fragment #details. A URL without an explicit port reports “(default)”, and one without a fragment reports “(none)”.
Input requirements and limits
Enter an absolute HTTP or HTTPS URL, including its scheme, such as https://example.com/path. URLs containing a username or password are rejected; relative paths and other schemes are not supported. Parsing does not verify that a hostname exists.
Use the parsed components carefully
Repeated query keys appear as separate name/value pairs in their original order, rather than being merged. Parsing happens in the browser without a remote request, and the listed components do not establish whether the URL is reachable, trustworthy or safe to open.
Questions about this tool
Does parsing visit or check the destination website?
No. It parses the supplied URL locally and makes no remote request, so it does not tell you whether the site exists or is safe.
Why is a URL with a username or password rejected?
This parser does not accept URLs containing embedded credentials. Remove that user-info portion and provide a complete HTTP or HTTPS URL without credentials.
