Convert subtitle cues from SubRip to WebVTT.
How to use it
Paste valid SRT text and press Process. The result can be copied or downloaded as a .vtt file.

Processing takes place in your browser. Avoid pasting sensitive data into a shared device. Results are not stored by this tool.
Example and interpretation
Paste SRT cues with comma-separated milliseconds, such as “00:00:01,000 --> 00:00:03,000”. The result starts with a WEBVTT header, uses period-separated milliseconds and preserves each cue’s text.
Before you publish
Use Copy result or Download file to save the .vtt output, then check it against the media in your target player. The converter checks basic SRT numbering and timing but does not verify the spoken words or real media sync.
Use standard SRT cues
The input parser expects sequential cue numbers and timestamps in hours:minutes:seconds,milliseconds or hours:minutes:seconds.milliseconds form, with cue blocks separated by blank lines. The output is basic WebVTT with a WEBVTT header; this is a format conversion, not a check of playback synchronization.
Questions about this tool
Will the conversion preserve my subtitle words?
Yes, cue text is carried into the output. The converter changes the timestamp separator and adds the WebVTT header; it does not correct or verify the wording.
Can I use SRT timestamp forms with periods?
Yes. The SRT parser accepts either a comma or period before milliseconds, and the generated WebVTT uses periods.
