Convert simple WebVTT cues to SubRip format.

Paste a simple WebVTT file and press Process. Advanced WebVTT features such as regions and styling are not supported; remove those before converting.

Example and interpretation
Paste a simple WebVTT document beginning with “WEBVTT” and containing timed cues. Processing adds numbered SRT cues and changes timestamp milliseconds from periods to commas.
Important limitations
The conversion is for basic text cues only. WebVTT notes, styles, regions, cue settings and other advanced features are not supported; remove them before converting. Play the resulting .srt file to confirm the output works as intended.
Check cue identifiers and timing
A basic cue may have one identifier line before its timestamp; the converter numbers the output cues in their order. Timestamps must use this tool’s hours:minutes:seconds.milliseconds form, and cue settings after a timestamp are not accepted.
Questions about this tool
Can it convert WebVTT styling or regions?
No. It handles basic timed text cues; advanced blocks such as NOTE, STYLE and REGION are rejected, and cue settings are not supported.
Does a cue need an identifier?
No. A basic cue may have a timestamp as its first line or one identifier line before the timestamp; output cues receive sequential SRT numbers.
