What this tool does
Remove insignificant whitespace from valid JSON for compact transport or storage.
How to use it
Paste JSON and select Process. Invalid JSON returns an error; the resulting text can be copied. Minification does not compress the underlying transport or encrypt data.
Privacy and limitations
Processing takes place in your browser. Avoid pasting sensitive data into a shared device. Results are not stored by this tool.
Example and result
Processing { "name": "Ava", "active": true } produces {"name":"Ava","active":true}. JSON strings, numbers, arrays and objects are accepted when valid; insignificant whitespace outside strings is removed.
What changes and what does not
The output is compact JSON, not compressed bytes or encrypted content. JSON parsing and serialization preserve the data structure, but do not promise to preserve the original spacing, key formatting or textual representation.
When to use the compact output
Copy the result when a destination expects valid JSON and you want a single-line representation. If processing fails, correct the reported JSON syntax issue first; minification does not check whether an application-specific schema or required fields are satisfied.

Does minifying change the JSON values?
It parses and serializes valid JSON to remove insignificant whitespace; it does not convert this into compressed or encrypted data.
Why does my input fail to minify?
The input must be valid JSON. Fix syntax errors such as unquoted property names, trailing commas or unmatched brackets before trying again.
